5,500 m² Poured Hollow Floor in a New Office Building, Bremen

In a new office and commercial building in Bremen's Überseestadt district, Bredo installed around 5,500 m² of poured hollow floor (poured / in-situ) for dt+p in 2026 — the Tate Ecoprimo system, including subfloor cleaning, sealing and impact-sound decoupled pedestals.

The brief

The client needed a fully service-ready floor level for a modern office building with a high density of technical installations — delivered alongside the ongoing interior fit-out within a tight schedule. The floor had to take a large number of floor outlet boxes and meet the fire protection (F30) and impact-sound requirements.

Work carried out

• Subfloor cleaning and sealing across around 5,500 m²
• Approx. 5,500 m² of poured hollow floor, Tate Ecoprimo LK2-600-18 system (load class 2 with 3 kN point load, F30, building material class A1/A2), gypsum-bonded base panel and calcium sulphate flowing screed, 195 mm construction height, with integrated underfloor heating in parts of the building
• Impact-sound decoupling via elastic pads to meet the acoustic specifications
• 220 floor outlet boxes

Challenges

The high installation density called for precise positioning of 220 outlets within the poured build-up, closely coordinated with the electrical design. Added to that was the integrated underfloor heating in some areas — with clean transitions, upstand angles and fitting work around columns. A poured build-up requires large, contiguous areas to be cast in one continuous operation; planning and installation ran in parallel with the interior fit-out, with clear interfaces to the following trades, whose office and corridor partitions were set on top of the floor.

Result

A fully service-ready system floor level across around 5,500 m² — a poured hollow floor for the office areas, fire-rated, impact-sound decoupled and ready for the final floor covering to be laid by the following trade.
