A floor is more than just a surface — it defines the character of a room.
With our floor coverings for system floors and screed areas, we give your floor not only functionality, but also comfort, design and lasting value.

Floor Coverings for Every Area

Floor coverings for screed areas
On classic screed areas, we install floor coverings for offices, commercial premises and residential spaces to a lasting standard of quality. We cover the full range — from hard-wearing coverings for heavily frequented commercial areas to high-quality design solutions for prestigious spaces.

Floor coverings for system floors
As an experienced system floor provider, Bredo offers suitable covering solutions for all common types of construction. On raised floors, coverings can be applied directly to the raised floor panels at the factory, enabling particularly precise and efficient processing. On hollow floors, coverings are laid directly onto the hollow floor, with preparatory levelling of the substrate where required.

Refurbishment of existing floor coverings
Renewing an existing floor covering requires experience in dealing with the existing building — from assessing the substrate to properly removing the old covering. Benefit from our decades of experience in the refurbishment of existing areas.

Floor coverings for new builds
In new-build projects, we support developers, architects and main contractors from planning through to the turnkey handover of the floor. Bredo is well accustomed to working reliably and on schedule during ongoing site operations, while meeting the highest quality standards.

Our Covering Types

Textile coverings
Ideal for offices, conference rooms and reception areas.
Soft, comfortable, sound-absorbing — and available in many designs, colours and textures.
They improve room acoustics, increase walking comfort and offer excellent slip resistance.

Textile raised floor coverings

Resilient coverings
Robust, easy to maintain and durable — perfect for high-traffic areas such as technical rooms, corridors or laboratory spaces.
We work with materials such as PVC, vinyl, rubber or linoleum, which are resistant to moisture and chemicals while also being slip-resistant.

Resilient raised floor covering

Hard coverings
For a high-quality appearance and maximum load-bearing capacity.
We apply hard coverings — such as parquet, natural stone, ceramic or engineered stone — directly onto system floor panels or lay them on site.
Hard coverings impress with elegance, stability and suitability even for heavily frequented or prestigious areas.
Some variants, such as stone tiles, are even suitable for outdoor areas such as terraces or roof gardens.

Our Approach

After a precise analysis of your area, we recommend suitable materials and laying methods.
Our specialist installers work precisely, on schedule and with close attention to clean transitions, durable bonding and perfect edge finishes.
For raised floors, we can apply the covering at the factory to save valuable installation time on site.

Ongoing process

Our process – step by step

Our clearly structured process delivers planning certainty, efficiency and the highest quality – from the initial consultation through to the finished floor solution.

01

Consultation & analysis

We begin with a personal consultation, establish your requirements and assess the spatial and technical parameters of your project.

02

On-site survey

Our specialists inspect the conditions on site, assess any existing floor systems and clarify technical details such as ceiling height, load requirements and installation needs.

03

Planning & quotation

Based on this analysis, we produce a detailed plan including technical specifications, material proposals and a transparent cost quotation.

04

Installation & quality assurance

Our installation teams deliver the project on schedule, cleanly and precisely. On completion, we carry out a quality check, provide documentation and – on request – a briefing on optimal use and maintenance.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about Floor Coverings

We install all common floor coverings: carpet (tiles and broadloom), PVC, linoleum, LVT, rubber, parquet. ESD-capable specialist coverings for electrical areas and cleanrooms, as well as acoustically effective coverings, are also part of our range. On request, we provide samples with laying patterns and supply care instructions to protect the long-term value of your investment.

The substrate must be load-bearing, dry (CM measurement below the threshold), level to DIN 18202, and free of release agents, grease or loose material. Cracks are resin-injected, and unevenness is levelled with filler. For refurbishments, we check the existing floor for strength (cross-cut test) and residual moisture. Installation only begins once the substrate inspection has been signed off — a report is included.

Yes. Refurbishing existing floors is our core focus in the floor covering business. We work in stages, overnight or at weekends to minimise downtime. Furniture and switchgear cabinets are relocated or enclosed; areas are partitioned dust-tight. We concentrate noisy work (grinding, breaking out) into agreed time windows. You’ll receive a detailed schedule of works before we start.

Typical output per installer per day: carpet tiles 80–120 m², glue-down LVT 40–60 m², click LVT 60–80 m², welded PVC sheet 30–50 m², linoleum 25–40 m², multi-layer parquet 20–35 m², large-format porcelain stoneware 8–15 m², natural stone 6–12 m². Substrate preparation, levelling and skirting boards are calculated separately. We agree phasing and furniture removal dates with you.

This depends heavily on the covering and how it’s used. Contract carpet tiles achieve 10–15 years (premium up to 20), LVT 15–25 years, linoleum 20–30 years (40+ with good care), PVC sheet 15–25 years, rubber 25–40 years, multi-layer parquet 25–40 years and can be refinished multiple times, natural stone and porcelain stoneware 30–50+ years. Professional installation, a suitable substrate and consistent maintenance are all decisive factors.

Until final handover, we cover the finished area with protective fleece or hardboard — particularly in areas where other trades will still be working after us. We remove the protective layer before handover, replacing it during longer build periods where needed. This prevents scratches, impressions and contamination caused by follow-on trades. Protective measures are generally part of our scope of work.
