When standard raised floor systems aren't sufficient for specific requirements, we develop individual bespoke solutions. Thanks to our many years of experience and qualified staff, we can almost always find a suitable concept — including for individual customer requests and special formats.
Bespoke Solutions – When Typical Floor Systems Aren't Enough
In some projects, off-the-shelf floor systems aren't enough — whether due to architecture, use or technical particularities. This is where Bredo offers a complete solution: from planning through manufacturing to installation, we create bespoke floor constructions made to measure — exactly as your project demands. Whether for special built-in elements such as ramps or steps, or for particularly high point loads or complex installation environments.
Individual Requirements. Precise Solutions.
We begin with a thorough analysis of your requirements: load profiles, ceiling height, access to services, aesthetics and type of use. We then design a solution that goes beyond the ordinary — with materials, constructions and covering options tailored individually. Our experienced teams ensure precise implementation, even under challenging conditions.
Examples of Our Bespoke Solutions
- Dry hollow floors in car showrooms that can be driven on by cars, and must therefore withstand enormous moving loads
- Weather-resistant grating floors for outdoor use, for example as a roof terrace construction finished with natural stone
- Raised floors in the entrance halls of banks and insurance companies, which can be driven on by scissor lifts for maintenance of the ceiling structure
- Heavy-duty floors and special heights beyond the standard — for example, a large timber seating staircase for interior design purposes at a corporate headquarters
Your Benefits with Bredo
- Maximum flexibility – even for unusual requirements
- Technology & design in one system – function becomes visible, surface counts
- Experience & expertise – over 30 years in system flooring
- Solution-oriented – true to the motto “there’s no such thing as ‘can’t’”
Reference Example: Stone Island, London
For the flagship store of the Italian fashion label Stone Island in London, we installed 300 m² of raised floor, fixed with four screws per panel to withstand the high loads from heavy display fixtures.

Frequently asked questions about Bespoke Solutions
We fabricate service walkways, grating floors, maintenance platforms, handrails and stairs to match our raised floor systems — frequently in transformer stations, control rooms and industrial plant. This also includes bespoke constructions with increased load classes, non-standard grids (e.g. 1,000 × 1,000 mm) or integrated outlets for large equipment. The design is developed on a project-specific basis and coordinated with structural engineering and workplace safety requirements.
Yes. Handrails are fixed to reinforced pedestals or standalone floor flanges; the load is transferred directly into the subfloor. We fabricate stair connections either recessed into the floor covering or as a rising step, depending on the level change. The construction meets the relevant DGUV workplace safety regulations. Structural calculations and test reports are included in the scope of delivery.
With twin pedestals, reinforced panel cores and a tighter pedestal grid, we achieve point loads of 15 kN and above — sufficient for heavy transformers, UPS systems or robotic cells. For distributed industrial loads, we size the floor together with the structural engineer and plant contractor. Bespoke solutions are documented with load testing and recorded in the as-built file.
Yes. We provide data sheets, test certificates and — for structurally relevant bespoke constructions — structural calculations and load test reports. On request, we also support inspections by independent surveyors or safety officers. We hand over complete as-built documentation with the project — the basis for later maintenance, refurbishment and insurance evidence.
