For a well-known energy provider from Essen, Bredo laid a total of 4,300 m² of floor covering across event and lounge areas in 2024 — three different material systems, each matched to its usage zone.
The brief
Event and lounge areas for an energy provider have three very different requirements: a representative look for staff and guests, high durability for heavily used areas, and acoustic requirements in conversation and presentation zones. No single covering can meet all three.
Coverings used
- Interface carpet tiles in the quieter lounge and conversation zones — for acoustics and room climate
- Objectflor LVT in the heavily used circulation areas — robust and design-led
- Rubber coverings in the event areas — hard-wearing, slip-resistant, sound-dampening
Work carried out
- 4,300 m² of floor covering in three material systems
- Material consultation in coordination with the architects and interior fit-out team
- Clean transitions between the material zones
- Installation within the existing building while office operations continued
Result
A carefully considered combination of coverings that gives each area exactly the properties it needs — while remaining visually coherent and complementing the representative architecture. For any later refurbishment needs, our refurbishment team is on hand.
