In 2025, Bredo fitted the retail space of a popular café in Krefeld with 75 m² of high-quality LVT floor covering in a herringbone pattern — installed over a single weekend, with no disruption to trading.
The brief
A café in Krefeld city centre — high footfall, constantly changing weather tracked in on guests' shoes, and demanding interior design. The new floor had to match the concept visually, suit hospitality use (slip-resistant, easy to clean, durable) — and be finished over a single weekend.
Work carried out
- Removal of the old covering
- Substrate preparation for the LVT installation
- Installation of 75 m² of LVT in a herringbone bond
- Clean junctions at counters, walls and doors
Why LVT for hospitality
LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tiles) is ideal for heavily used hospitality areas: slip-resistant, water-resistant, easy to maintain and in a look that is hard to tell apart from real wood or stone. The herringbone pattern gives the area a calm, high-quality feel that suits modern café concepts.
Result
A café that could open on Monday morning with a new floor — easy to maintain, slip-resistant and durable, designed for high footfall. We also deliver flexible bespoke solutions for special situations such as weekend installations.
