For RWE AG's in-house fitness centre on Altenessener Straße in Essen, Bredo installed around 300 m² of wood-look LVT floor covering in 2026 — as part of a wider refurbishment of several sections of the building at this site.
The brief
Several rooms in the in-house fitness centre were to receive a new, high-quality floor covering — robust enough for training use, while still looking warm and understated. Before the new covering could be laid, the entire old covering, including adhesive residue, had to be cleanly removed and the screed prepared for the new LVT installation.
Work carried out
- Removal and proper disposal of the old coverings
- Priming and levelling of the exposed screed areas
- Installation of 300 m² of wood-look LVT covering across several rooms
Result
A consistent, hard-wearing floor covering that makes the fitness centre look calmer and more representative. Completion was on schedule, within the same window in which we also carried out extensive refurbishment of several office areas at the same site.
